While the app guides you to set up the right environment for photography and helps you click using your mobile phone, our associated professional post-production service makes sure that each image that we deliver goes through multiple layers of retouching, giving you images compatible to online e commerce standards.
Background, Lighting, Angle and Size form the foundation for any good product shot. Pictor’s image processing engine not only guides the user at every stage but also suggests modifications to the photography environment to get the best possible output.
The application is designed to mitigate the most common errors amature photographers commit. The application gives the user feedback about the sizing, lighting, background, suggesting him different techniques to make modifications. The aim of the application is to get a decent photograph of the article, where the issues can be rectified in the post production. For the purpose of online retail and web, Pictor App can replace professional photography, provided the user of the application clicks the images using a good mobile camera.
To get the best out of the photograph and make it compatible to the online marketplace standards, every image is meticulously edited by a team of professional graphic artists. We ensure each image goes through multiple levels of post-processing so as to deliver the best image possible.
At first each image is checked and classified corresponding to its complexity. If we find any issue with the photograph itself, we inform the client. We cover the basics of retouching such as Background Removal, Clipping Path, Color correction, Shadow removal etc. In the advance stage of editing, we also rectify the image if any part of the article is damaged, remove dust scratches, remove noise etc.
Some of the finer details are retouched by our professional team of graphic artists. Additional work such as adding shadows underneath articles, watermarks, reflections are done. In short we make the image online retail ready.
In an endeavour to provide the users of Pictor application with high quality output time and again, we follow strict quality control measures while editing the images. After the Quality Assurance team approves an image, it is sent to the client through our secure web portal. Once the intimation is sent, the client has the power to approve the image or suggest any changes to the image. Any suggestions by the client are then addressed on priority basis.
DELIVERY OF THE IMAGE
All the images are tracked using their respective products. A product can contain one or multiple images. The product as a unit will move through the stages defined. After all the images of a single product are finalized, the product will be tagged under finished and the user can download the images inside.
You can download the image from the app or the webportal using the login credentials given to you. Each product shot has a messages section in the product detail view. This section is used to communicate any special instructions or any issues with our customer care. Similarly, if any clarifications are required by the graphic designers regarding a specific product, they would send a message on the same page.
The following are the default image specifications. Any changes required will have to sent to us using the message tab :
